What Happens if We Don’t Drink Milk?

Do you like milk?

Some children love milk, while others do not enjoy its smell or taste very much. If you don’t like milk either, there’s no need to worry.

Because you can get minerals like calcium and phosphorus, which are found in milk, from other foods as well. These minerals help keep your bones and teeth strong. Your bones support you when you run, jump, and play games. During childhood, your bones grow stronger every day. Strong teeth help you chew your food more easily, while the protein in milk helps support your muscles. This way, you can run, jump, and play to your heart’s content.

So, what can you do if you don’t drink milk?

Yogurt, cheese, kefir, and ayran also contain calcium. Maybe you don’t enjoy drinking a glass of milk, but you might love eating cheese or yogurt instead.

What if you don’t like those either?

Then you have a little kitchen mission! Ask an adult at home to help you make a smoothie using milk and your favorite fruits. Maybe banana, maybe strawberry, or perhaps your own special recipe… That way, you can enjoy a delicious drink while also getting the nutrients your bones need.
