You have probably been to a market or a bakery before. Have you ever looked carefully at the bread shelves?
There are so many different kinds of bread! š„
Some are long, some are roundā¦
Some are small, some are bigā¦
Even their colors are different!
So why is that?
The main ingredient of bread is wheat. š¾
Different types of wheat create different kinds of bread. For example, cornbread is yellow; whole wheat bread is brown; hamburger buns are white.
There are also breads made from the same wheat that look different. The reason for this difference is how the wheat is processed.

Wheat is a very valuable source of nutrition. š¾
It contains vitamins, minerals, and fiber that help our intestines work properly.
When white bread is made, the fibrous and mineral-rich parts of the wheat are removed, and white flour is obtained. Bread is then made from this flour. To produce whole wheat flour, the entire grain is used, so its nutritional value is preserved.
In short, white bread has a very low nutritional value. It also makes us feel hungry again quickly after eating it. Thatās why we should prefer rye bread, multigrain bread, whole wheat, or oat-based breads. We should also make our cookies and cakes using whole grains.
Choosing more nutritious alternatives helps us stay much healthier.
